LMFAO – La La La (Ghost & DJ Asha remix)

I was talking to my friend Stephanie about this blog and she said “You have to put that LMFAO remix you did on there. I love that mix”. Thanks Steph!

I did the remix while hanging out with my nephew Ghost over the summer. I was back in London visiting the fam, bonding over a midi controller and Pro Tools, as you do, when we decided to have a go at giving this track a more Electro sound.

The original was already big in LA, but hadn’t crossed the ocean yet. Anyway, here it is. I’ve played it in a few clubs (Kyss, Pimp n Push, The Catwalk and Rockwell) and the crowd loved it. Let me know what u think.

Reni Lane – A Place For Us

Reni Lane is both fun and funny!

I saw her perform last night at Hotel Cafe in Hollywood.  She made jokes about people in LA wearing scarves even though it’s not cold, she danced around the audience and gave one lucky fan a min-lap dance; but what struck me most was her ability. Her voice has a refreshing clarity and she knows how to write a catchy tune.

Her first single “Place For Us” is an up-tempo, memorable track which emphasizes a universal theme of acceptance. Showtime’s The L Word got hooked and featured the song on the 2009 season premiere and VH1 has adopted it as their theme song for the controversial new reality show Secrets of Aspen.
