The Suzan are an energetic girl band from Tokyo Japan making their international debut with “Home.” Their irresistible charm captivated Bjorn Yttling of Peter, Bjorn and John (who they convinced to produce their record with a MySpace message!) and tastemaking indie Fool’s Gold, who have previously introduced the world to artists as diverse as Kid Sister, Kid Cudi and Treasure Fingers.

White Arrows are an interesting groups of LA natives lead by Mickey Church who has a degree in Ritualistic Shamanism. They made a big noise in NYC recently – you might have seen their name on graffiti and tattoos around the city – and are set to do the same here, with a month long residency at Spaceland in August.
RAC has done an incredible remix of Coming or Going which you can download here .
Ever wonder how Oprah became so successful?
Ever thought about how a poor, overweight, black female from rural Mississippi could become a multi-billionaire, multi-award winning talk show host, who over 25 years has entertained people across the globe with the highest rated show of its kind in history?
There will only ever be one Oprah, just as there will only ever be one Michael Jackson or Madonna.
In his book O Habits (40 success habits of Oprah Winfrey and the one bad habit she needs to stop), super-fan Warren Cassell shares with us Oprah’s traits that he feels have resulted in her success. Such as: Oprah Keeps a Daily Schedule / Oprah Exercises Daily / Oprah Prays etc.
So, let me know if you become a billionaire after adopting her lifestyle.

Multi-talented Reggae artist and producer Sugar Minott died unexpectedly in a Kingston, Jamaica hospital Saturday at age 54.
The smooth-voiced singer helped popularize reggae internationally in the 1970s and 1980s with hits such as Good Thing Going, Vanity and Mr. DC. He also was a pioneer of the Jamaican dance-hall scene, and known as a mentor to several young Jamaican artists.
Here is a video of Sugar Minott performing for The BBC’s Top of the Pops in 1981.

Breakbot is a French producer and graphic artist. According to CoolCats.fr “He wasn’t the most popular boy at school, but he was the best pupil in class, he was the teachers’ pet. He never got asked to dance by girls (except that time on the school exchange to London). Instead of nights filled with teenage lust, he spent his time in the studio. Music was his passion.”
Fans of Sam Sparro and Dan Black will dig this.
