Love Crushed Velvet – Letter (2am & Asha remix)

Two years in the making, New York band Love Crushed Velvet releases their eagerly anticipated debut album.

The set evokes the melodic atmospherics of New Wave/post-punk and classic punk chord structures, yet is thoroughly modern in its sensibilities. A Love Crushed Velvet tune may recall The Clash, early U2, even the mysterious tone of a David Lynch film—simultaneously.

This is a remix of the lead single “Letter” which I did with my mate DJ 2am.

Lorena Nicole – Finalmente (2am & Asha remix)

Originally a hit song by International Pop Dance Diva CeCe Peniston, I am honored to have been given the opportunity to work with my friend DJ 2am on this remake of “Finally” into “Finalmente” by Latin Pop Star Lorena Nicole.

Created in 1991 “Finally” became CeCe Peniston’s first hit song, making it to number one on the US Dance Chart. Now with 2011 marking it’s 20th anniversary, and with Ms. Peniston’s blessing and full support, this new version looks ready to climb it’s way to number one just like the original.

Ten Amazing Break-up Songs

The month of February is dedicated to celebrating romance. But not all of us are in love. What if you have recently broken up with someone? What if you just caught the love-of-your-life in the arms of someone else? Forget about the bouquets of roses and candlelit dinners, instead turn up the volume and indulge your feelings of misery, bitterness, surrender, or freedom.

(Take Another Little) Piece of My Heart by Erma Franklin
Written in 1967 “Piece of My Heart” was originally recorded by The Queen of Soul’s older sister Erma who’s husky tones were perfect to express the disbelief and heartache of rejection. Several artists including British female vocalist Dusty Springfield have covered the soul anthem.
