Just in case you’re not familiar with Moombahton, imagine slowing down a Dutch House or Baile Funk record to 108 bpms and chopping up the vocals, which is what creator Dave Nada did in 2009. Since then, the style has gone from underground to mainstream, with several producers and remixers adding their touch to the new genre. One of my favs is King Kong who has produced an excellent Moombahton remix of Justin Timberlake’s Cry My a River.
